Responses to Questions Received

Question 1: Please provide manufacturer and model numbers for all rooftop units in the bas bid as well as alternates.

Base Bid: The units in the base bid are two 15-ton Carrier units (both model 48HJDO17) and two 20 ton carrier units (both model 48HJD025).

Alternates: There is one additional 15-ton Carrier unit, also model 48HJD017 that would be a one-to one replacement.

In addition to that, we have three Trane units of various sizes. See photos below for model designations. The unit labeled Trane unit #1 is the most in need of replacement.

The largest of the Trane units has been nonoperational, and DRIVE added mini splits in two areas which have mostly filled its role. The two smaller Trane units are still needed for use. All the Trane units are clustered together. We only asked for pricing on 15- and 20-ton units to get a sense of general pricing, since we assumed we might need to work with the awarded contractor to refine the plan related to those units.

Question 2: If the units are required prior to January 2025 they could be R410a refrigerant units.  With refrigerant regulations changing – will the units be required to be R454b units?  Please advise.

We did not specify refringent type for this RFP, and would like to complete this project as soon as possible. If available, R410a units may be quoted.
