Our economic development team

DRIVE was created to be the economic development team for the region. The commissioners of Montour and Columbia Counties formed DRIVE as a council of governments to serve as a regional spokesperson on economic development, a project management group, and to be a single point of contact for business looking to locate or expand within the Susquehanna Valley. Our team provide professional and market driven economic development services to create and retain family sustaining jobs. DRIVE’s board of directors provides a forum for communication and coordination of economic development activity.

Mission:

DRIVE’s mission is to create and retain family sustaining jobs in Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Union, and Northumberland counties in Central Pennsylvania. We facilitate new business development and expansion of current industry by collaborating with state and local partners and supporting workforce development and educational programs in the area.
